Divergent By Veronica Ruth
During the duration of reading this book, exciting twists and turns occur throughout the hundreds of pages. Expect the unexpected. After Tris decides to be a part of the Dauntless, the plot takes a turn for the worst, but she somehow manages to cope and make everything work out. The author does a tremendous job of keeping the action up through the piece, adding in fights, confrontations, and a smidgeon of romance. Another awesome feature to this book is the element of imagery portayed through the author's diction. Her descriptive words create vivid images in your head while reading, as if you're watching a movie inside your head.
I chose this book because a friend recommended it, and I'm so glad she did.
"I might be in love with you." He smiles a little. "I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you, though."
"I have a theory that selflessness and bravery aren't all that different."
"I feel like someone breathed new air into my lungs. I am not Abnegation. I am not Dauntless.
I am Divergent"
