Question

Will the egg not break in my car?

Hypothesis

I think that with all the safety stuff I put in my car the egg will not break.

Background Knowledge

Speed: The rate at which something is able to move or operate.

Force: Strength or energy as an attribute of physical action or movement.

Inertia: A tendency to do nothing or stay unchanged.

Acceleration: Increase in rate or speed of something.

Friction: The resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another.

Momentum: The quantity of motion of a moving body measured as a product of its mass and velocity.

Potential Energy: The energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others stresses within itself electric charge and other factors.

Kinetic Energy: Energy that a body possesses by a virtue of being in motion.

Procedure

I made my car with a bottle and wheels and put in all my safety devices. Then I made sure it was less than 40 grams, less than 6.5 cm wide, and less than 16.5 cm long. Last I will put my car on the track and hope the egg will not break.

Width of car: 6.2 cm

Mass of car: 40 g

Mass of car with egg: 78 g

Conclusion

The first time I crashed my car it didn't break. The second time it didn't break either so my car is safe.
