GNETS-Serving Henry & Clayton counties
As we finish up the 2021-22 school year, GNETS has learned a lot on how to maximize PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to reduce adverse behaviors, increase positive behaviors and improve the overall school atmosphere. Students have been rewarded with fun competitive events such as obstacle courses, staff vs. student basketball games and more!

A Letter From Our Director
Greetings!
It is Spring time! South Metro GNETS is excited to welcome the warmer weather that comes along with transitioning from winter to spring. As the weather breaks, our thoughts turn to the summer months; but it is important during the final weeks of the school year for students to focus on doing their very best on the Georgia Milestone testing. Our students have done the work and now is the time to demonstrate what they have learned.
The GNETS team has already started our data triangulation meetings to identify which program services would be most beneficial for individual students. This process also supports student movement to a less restrictive placement. This year we have identified several students who are ready to transition to other placements.
We look forward to finishing the 2021 – 2022 school year strong in supporting the educational and therapeutic needs of all of our students.
Best Regards,
Derrick Gilchrist
