On Tuesday, 9 November, our secondary students and parent will have another chance to meet Admissions Officers from about 40 international universities from Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Asia. University representatives will be available for a video call and chat in order to personally advise students and their families on the admission processes and types of programs offered at their institutions. Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to watch informative sessions and major-focused presentations led by university and country representatives.

The Virtual Fair will be open from 1PM until 5PM (UK, London time).

Project-based Learning in the 7YOC Classroom

Teachers of the 7YOC students came together to create a collaborative project to enhance the learning of our students! Project-based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which students learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects.

Students were focused on learning what animals need to survive. Through their research, students discovered that animals have special features and adaptations that allow them to survive in their habitat. This led to investigating different habitats to determine why plants and animals thrive where they live but struggle to survive outside of their natural habitat. Students chose an animal that they were interested in to write a nonfiction book about and create a model of that animal’s habitat.

Students visited the Skopje Zoo to begin observing animals. After that, they learned how to conduct proper research from nonfiction books found in the library, write a book with non-fiction text features, illustrate their books in art, think about animal movements in relation to music, and how to describe animals in their Language Other than English classes. This was an incredible learning experience for the 7YOC! We are very proud of their hard work!

Volleyball Club

We had a great volleyball season! We welcomed several first-time players and many new students to our club. We are so proud of the hard work that students put into learning and advancing their skills.

To celebrate the end of our season, we had Teachers vs. Students games. Our Freshman and Varsity teams put up a good battle, but eventually, the teachers won out! Our Junior Varsity team played very well and beat the teachers! We all had fun, and everyone did a great job. Congratulations to our players on a great season, we are looking forward to the next one!

PSG: Building Community

QSI Skopje recognizes that parent involvement is crucial for our student's success and the success of the school as a whole. It is because of this that the school leadership works to establish an active Parent Support Group (PSG). All QSI parents are encouraged to become actively involved with the school through the PSG. Through our PSG's monthly meetings, this dedicated group of parents works to support the school and build community. Our PSG works to make the learning environment at QSI Skopje the best possible place for children.
