summary of the road to revolution
proclamation of 1763, which is the first happened which by king George the third following Great Britain's acquisition of french and indian war/seven year war. sugar act which set duties on molasses and sugar imported by the colonists. this way the first act passed specifically to raise money in the colonies. Quartering act required colonists to house British soldiers. Stamp act 0f 1765 required colonists to pay for an official stamp, or seal, when they bought paper items. The tax was different by colonists had to pay for a stamp and the sugar act. Townshend act 1767, parliament passed the Townshend act. These acts placed on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. Boston massacre, 1770 colonists called the shootings the Boston massacre.
