Mark Warner's Views on the Keystone Pipeline

He was one of 17 Democrats to side with Republicans during last Friday’s “vote-a-rama” by voting for a non-binding amendment expressing approval for the Keystone XL pipeline. Keystone XL is a 1,700 mile pipeline that would carry tar sands fuel from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf Coast of Mexico, where it would be exported to international markets. A pro for creating the pipeline include "The approval of the Keystone XL would be great for TRP stock cash flows and its dividend — especially considering the long, drawn-out approval process has actually been a big “win” for TransCanada shares.". A con for the Pipeline is none of the Oil is coming the U.S. it's all getting shipped out.

Pros and Cons on increasing Minimum Wage

Raising the minimum wage will put more money in the pockets of workers who most need to spend those dollars. It will boost consumer spending at local businesses across the state. However, hiking the minimum wage hurts — not helps — the lowest-paid workers, especially young black men. A 10 percent hike in the minimum wage causes a 2.5 percent drop in employment among young white men without a high school diploma and a staggering 6.5 percent drop among young black men without that degree.

Pros and Cons of Keystone Pipeline

Keystone Pipeline could effectivly transport massive amounts of oil in record time, but the possibility of something devastating to happen is very likely.

Warner GOES for the building of the Keystone Pipeline.

He is up for reelection in 2 years and both minimum wage and the keystone pipeline will be topics.
