STAFF ONLY:
- Teacher Classrooms: Please help communicate flexibility and help with moving students to the right spot re: tentative classroom changes. The LC is anticipated to have classes resume in the LC Mon 4/3. D'Andre and April's classes are both being redone and are anticipated to be finished by the start of school Monday; however, if they are not, they will be roving to teacher classes on prep.
- Welcome Davey: Please give a warm welcome to Davey, cart #11. Davey has 32 babies and they are in a newly designed cart with various labeling (we'll see which labeling works long term). His new home will be in Sakanari's and he's all ready for sign-ups.
- Welcome Sarah: Please give a warm welcome to Sarah Nava! Sarah will be taking over Ms. Missio's classes until further notice. Sarah has been with NP3 MS and ES and is excited to join the Pirate family long term!
Q4 Trash-Pick Up: Tue 3/28: Berry & Carey; Wed 3/29: Davis & Hara; Fri: Kees & Kons.
Library Books: Please read the attached list to know which students still have books out. All library books checked out require your help checking in with students regarding their return of the books. Please make note of which students still have books out and remind them accordingly. 8th Grade Vision Screening: This will occur via Sci (Hara) and PE (Clark) classes on Thur 3/30. Please bring your class to the MS computer lab at the beginning of class in alpha order.
Free 6th/8th Grade Tutoring: A group of NP3 HS students will be completing a service learning project through tutoring, Tues from 3-4 p.m. in the library. Dean Do and his three group members have stressed their passion about helping 8th graders achieve academic goals in Math, History, English and Science. Tutoring is open to 16 NP3 MS students. Please let me know if you have any students who may benefit from an extra hour of tutoring every week. You may also contact Dean Do (the tutor) at dodean26@gmail.com . Tutoring will be supervised by Mr. Lowery.
Mindfulness For Teachers: Please remember we have our next book talk 4/6! Please pick a focus 1) How can you apply mindfulness to your advisory class? OR 2) How can you apply mindfulness to your personal life? Get excited!
6th Celebration: 3/31! Woot!
LIM Leadership Role Roll-Out: Please remember to attend the Monday meeting immediately after school. This meeting will include info on the LIM leadership role roll-out. Students who applied for a leadership role will be notified this week. Please make sure these students attend the meeting in the amp on Friday 3/31 during enrichment.
Gold Ribbon Visit: Congratulations to NP3! NP3 has made it to the visitation round of the Gold Ribbon recognition. The visit is scheduled for Tue 4/4 and will include a small team visiting staff and classrooms!
ADVISORIES, STUDENTS & FAMILIES:
SBAC testing: NP3 Middle School students will be taking SBAC assessments April 10-April 21. These assessments are mandated by the state and are very important to our school. Please make sure your student is in attendance these weeks. A notice with more detailed information will be sent home later this week.
Booster Meeting: The next booster meeting will be on 4/10 at 6:30pm. Please join! Snacks are provided!
8th Grade Vision Screening: All 8th graders will have their vision screened on Thursday March 30th. If your child wears glasses please make sure you have them bring them on this day. Students who do not pass the screening will be notified. If you have any questions you can contact Ms. Edwards.
Pizza Sales: Pizza will be sold after school for $1 a slice to help raise money for Science Camp on the following dates: 3/30, 4/6 & 4/17.
Henna Art Fundraiser: Will be after school on Fri 3/31 near Qasmi's room from 3-4pm.
Movie Night: Student Government will be hosting a movie night after school on Fri 4/7 from 4-6pm in the NP3 Gym.
Campus Love Park Clean-Up: Westlake Park across the street from NP3 from 11am-1pm on Sat 4/8. Anyone can join!
