Mr. O'Connell's Weekly Updates

Dismissal on June 4th

We will dismiss this week for the year on June 4th at 2:20. Thank you for helping us to have a great year even with all the obstacles of the 2020-2021 school year.

Please read through the communication from your child's teacher as it will provide links for summer work, annual verification link (to update your information in Infinite Campus), and how to access your child's report card in Infinite Campus. We will not be sending home a copy.

Student devices will be staying at school for the summer...however there are some exceptions to this. 5th graders will be taking their devices for the summer and taking to Middle School in the fall. Students attending KOC or other summer programming, the devices will be taken to those locations. All other devices will be moving over to West Willow and students will be getting them back in the fall.

Health Guidelines

Just a reminder to continue to let us know here in the office if your child has been exposed to someone with the virus or if there is someone in the house with the virus Updated district guidelines

We appreciate you contacting the Nurse (ctrautman@crschools.us or stjohnson@crschools.us) or Mr. O'Connell (goconnell@crschools.us) if you have been exposed or have tested positive.

Newly released last week

Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill that prohibits any school district from requiring masks to be worn by staff or students. We have discussed on morning announcements that it is a personal choice to wear a mask or not...and we need to be respectful no matter what the choice is. Masks will continue to be worn on school buses as they are public transportation, and that is a national mandate. Additionally, mitigation strategies remain for all school athletics and activities.

Arrival and Dismissal

During the summer, I will send out a document to explain the new drop off and pick up procedures at West Willow. Thank you for reading through them so that you are prepared to keep drop off and pick up a smooth and safe process for all.
