Family Newsletter
11/21/21
Oh my goodness- this year is flying by! I cannot believe it is already Thanksgiving. In this season of gratefulness, there are many at Robinson that I'd like to take a moment to thank:)
- All of our amazing staff- they work hard each and everyday to make school fun and memorable for our students. The kids are learning and growing so much and I am so proud!
- I am so grateful for our kids- they bring a smile to my face each and every day. Most recently, I loved a little boy rolling down his window as he pulled out of parent pick up yelling we're gonna duct tape you to the wall Dr. OH just wait!!!! LOL - kids:)
- Thank you to our families- you are truly partners in this work. Without your support and re-enforcement of lessons, providing experiences, and supporting social growth our kids would not be making the big gains that they are.
- I'm grateful for ASC and all the support our central office team provides to our building. Their leadership, clear direction, and ongoing support lets us know we aren't in this alone and they are always here to help.
- Thankful for our school board. They are volunteers who spend countless hours researching, discussing, and meeting to determine how to best move our district forward. We are grateful for your diligence in putting our students first.
- I'm so thankful for the Kirkwood community. They are always providing support, donations, and happy to help with any requests. Meacham Park is a strong partner of support and we are grateful for the opportunities for our students that they are providing.
- Beyond grateful for PTO and REG- these two parent organizations do so much for our building. The leaders of these groups are constantly communicating, organizing, and doing work to support our students, staff, and families. Thank you to everyone who participates, leads, and supports these organizations. They are truly vital to our school community.
- Last but not least (although he feels like it sometimes), I am so grateful for my husband, dog (Carter), and the rest of my family. They always encourage me, they try not to make me feel guilty for working at home a lot, and they believe in the work that we are doing and the impact it has.
- This work is truly my calling and I love it so much! I am grateful to call Robinson my home away from home and the KSD community. This work fills my bucket and I love working with your children and our staff. Thank you for trusting us to send your most precious gift to us everyday. I promise we will always take good care of them, teach them well, and help them grow into kind, hard working, and confident citizens.
I hope you each can take a moment to practice gratitude with your child this long weekend. It is so nice to reflect on all of the many blessings we have in our lives. Enjoy the extra time you get with your family this weekend and we will see you Monday!
Please reach out at any time to share any questions, concerns, or ideas. I am here to help and support you and your family. Thanks for all you do to help keep our students and staff safe.

Be the Change- Fall Fundraiser
We all belong, small ones and tall ones. We can all make a difference in small and big ways.
Thank you all so much for your incredible generosity! We are almost to our goal of $15,000. Our students alone have raised $3,996.91 through the Spare Change Drive! That is absolutely AMAZING! Collectively, we have raised $11,220.28! We can do this! Families can continue donating online through Monday, November 22nd. Remember if we hit our goal of $15,000, Dr. OH will dress up in costume with dyed hair, skate classroom to classroom and the kids can pick if she eats a bean-boozled jelly bean or gets silly stringed! The kids will LOVE it! If we hit our reach goal of $20,000 the kids get to duct tape Dr. OH to the wall! On Monday, Dr. OH will reveal our classroom prize winners. Thank you all again so very much for supporting the PTO and school community!
Thank you for helping the PTO support our students, staff and families!
