Holiday Secret Shoppe 2022

The Butler PTO Holiday Shoppe Team held a festive and fun event on Friday, December 9th! Attendance was impressive and there were many items found which will be given to others throughout this holiday season. Thanks to the PTO for organizing this community event and we appreciate all of the additional vendors who shared some of their crafts and wares! Happy Holidays from the Butler PTO!

Author Visit - Lisa Papp

Award-winning author/illustrator, Lisa Papp, visited Butler on Tuesday, December 6 to present to kindergarten to third grade students. Mrs. Papp was joined by her husband, award-winning illustrator, Robert Papp. The engaging duo shared many illustrations and rough drafts with students via a digital presentation, as well as actual work created by each of them as children. The students learned about the writing process and the process of illustrating children’s picture books. Students asked many thoughtful questions, and some were chosen to model props used by Mr. Papp in illustrating historical fiction books.

Spirit Assembly 12/2/22

Butler Elementary organizes and hosts an energetic, fun, and celebratory Spirit Day Assembly at the end of each Trimester. With Trimester 1 ending on December 2nd, our students and staff dressed in their Butler Best Gear to enjoy fun activities, music, and our school-wide Butler Song! The Spirit Day Cmmt., hosted by our Music teacher, Ms. Griffin, led the excitement as the host and announcer! Thanks to all of the students and staff for a great 1st Trimester!

Prismatic Magic School-Wide Assembly - 12.7

On Wednesday, December 7th, Butler Elementary hosted Prismatic Magic, LLC - the leading educational assembly program featuring lasers coupled with art and music! This show highlighted the theme of Kindness - allowing students to see crisp, laser-light visuals that were matched with music and active, group participation. Students were even given "glow sticks" to enhance the show providing a uniform visual with the black lights and lasers. It was a great show - thanks to the PTO for their support!

Student Showcase

TEAM Impact

Butler student, Charlotte F. is a fun, energetic, and vibrant first grader who makes an impact at school each and every day. She also is connected to TEAM Impact, an organization who matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved. Charlotte was connected with a softball player from University of Pennsylvania, Madi, and they have had many interactions since their pairing. A gala was held in September where Charlotte’s “teammate,” Madi, was recognized by TEAM Impact as “Teammate of the Year!” because she has really helped Charlotte know what it means to be on a TEAM!
