Who Jesus Is To Me
By Caroline Cecena
The Good Shepherd
As a shepherd, Jesus helps guide each of us to the right path in our lives. When we get lost, He is determined to find us and bring us back. He wants nothing more than to see us reunited with God in Heaven.
Light of the World
Jesus is the bringer of hope not only to those always faithful to him, but to anyone within the darkness of sin that wishes to return to God. He is the divine and human representation of the light of hope.
Prince of Peace
Through his death on the cross, Jesus helps us regain our relationship of peace and harmony with God which cannot be reverted by Satan or any evil influence in the world.
Our Divine Guardian
Many people, from Catholics to atheists, often tend to view Jesus as somewhat of an authorative leader of some sort. While Jesus Christ is indeed a very powerful and almighty leader, He is gentle, not harsh, and that is one of the most common misconceptions about Him. Jesus is the Holy Son of God¹, sent to us in order to help us reach eternal paradise. Jesus is not there to berate and lecture us when we make mistakes; instead he serves as a mentor on our pathway to heaven. Lots of Christians and Catholics can have a feeling of confusion and turmoil that is associated from being lost from the path God assigned to us. Jesus is our Divine Guardian, who helps us reach that goal of heaven throughout our lives, and who is always there to welcome us back to God's path.
Isaiah 42:6
I formed you, and set you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations.

I am the Good Shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.
