Literacy
This week we began Unit 1 Week 6-Interactive Review. The students will be reviewing skills, strategies, grammar, vocabulary, and other activities we learned throughout the unit. All activities are on the Haiku page. The students will do activities in the classroom and at home for homework. The test will be on Friday.
Math
We tested over Unit 2 last week. This week we will not have math due to Challenger Field trips and the play at the high school. We will start Unit 3 next week.
Science
We will continue to learn about the Challenger disaster this week. On Thursday we will be going to the Challenger Learning Center for our field trip. On the day of the trip, please make sure your child wears their 5th grade T-shirt that was purchased at the beginning of year. There will be a professional photographer at the Challenger Learning Center taking pictures. Would love for all the students to be in their shirts. Also, there is no option for hot lunch. The students need to bring a disposable lunch. We will not have a lunch bin that will contain their lunch boxes. Please bring a lunch that is completely disposable. Mrs. Rojek, Mrs. Panzloff, and Mr. Metzler will accompany our class. Thanks to all of you that volunteered. I appreciate it!
