DESERVES MVP AWARD
Patrick Henry was born in Hanover County, Virginia on May 29, 1736. As Patrick started growing up he attended local schools. At the age of 15 he ran a store with his father, the business didn't last long. in 1732 he married Sarah Shelton. for being married to her he received some farmhouse where he tried growing tobacco but failed when he lost his land because of a fire. Then managed a tavern for his father-in-law and studied to be a lawyer. In 1760, he obtained his law license.

He became a powerful and persuasive speaker. he fought many case, and out of all his cases he has won several of them. In 1765, Henry won the election to the House of Burgesses . He proved to many people as well as himself to be the voice against Britain's colonial policies. Henry is a remarkable man and has the ability to translate his political ideology into the language of the common man. He was selected to serve as delegate to the Continental Congress in Philadelphia in 1774.
Henry, who was a new member of the house Burgesses moved against the authority of Parliament. Only nine days after being sworn in Henry introduced the Virginia Stamp Act Resolutions in language so straight forward that the Virginians said it smacked of treason. During this time he proposed 7 resolutions against the Stamp Act and out of those 7 four of them were adopted and passed by the house of burgesses. One of them was that the taxation of the people by themselves. Another was declaring all liberties, privileges, and immunities of natural subjects.

Famous speech "GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!"
Patrick henry delivered this speech to make it clear that he sided with men who wanted action to raise militia and to put Virginia in a position of defense. He strongly emphasizes his view that there is a need to fight for truth and god! He also believes that fighting for freedom is gods and the country's responsibility.
