Also, we continue to build positivity on our campus and in our community by celebrating all the great things our students and staff members accomplish. If you have not already done so, please connect with us on Facebook or Twitter.

Collaborative Team Spotlight: English II--Ms. Cook & Ms. Romo
I'm excited to shine the spotlight on our English II team this month! Meagan Cook, 3rd year teacher, and Iliana Romo, first year at PHS and teaching ELA, have made remarkable leaps forward as a collaborative team. By faithfully implementing the tenets of the PLC process--establishing team goals, focusing on student outcomes, and constantly looking at data--these two ladies have built their confidence around developing high quality assessments and instruction that is laser focused on teaching the essential standards. Last week they invited me and Mrs. Downs to celebrate their results on the latest summative assessment--student proficiency was high and there was NO difference between the two teachers results in any area. I'm so proud of their commitment to the PLC process and to the students they teach. Please join me in congratulating Ms. Cook and Ms. Romo on their fantastic work! They are a great example of a collaborative team implementing a guaranteed and viable curriculum.
