Pearson Client Data Impacted
August 20, 2019
The Pearson Clinical Assessment company recently informed Glen Ellyn School District 41 that they experienced a data security incident related to their AIMSweb 1.0 product by an unauthorized third party. AIMSweb 1.0 tracks student academic progress and we are one of 13,000 Pearson clients impacted by this incident. District 41 has used Pearson services for a number of years.

What happened
According to Pearson, the student data affected was limited to students’ first name, last name and - in some cases - date of birth. At this time, there is no evidence that the student data has been used. However, as a precaution, Pearson is offering free credit monitoring for one year to families who may have been affected by the data breach.
