Mr. Cook's English 10B
Blocks 5,6,7: 2/5; Blocks 1,2: 2/8
2/5 and 2/8
At the beginning of the class, we will take a quiz over Part One. You can use your reading notes and homework assignments to help you during the quiz.
After the quiz, work in partners to complete a grammar worksheet. You can use the blue grammar books to look up answers you don't know.
We continue our reading of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 aloud in class. Students will read through page 98 in the paperback edition or page 104 in the hard cover edition. Write down questions for Mr. Cook to answer before the quiz over the reading assignment on Tuesday/Wednesday.
Questions while reading or doing homework?
You can also ask for a pass to get help at the tutor lab in room A-525.
Tips for Mr. Cook's Class
Keep your assignments. Many of them will be quite helpful on the reading quizzes, and all of them will help you study for tests.
When absent, complete the assignments and activities on these fliers. If you need help or further directions, ask Mr. Cook for help as soon as you return to school.
Late assignments are marked down 50%, so be sure to turn all assignments in on time.
