Bunnell Elementary Sweeps the district with Principal & Assistant Principal of the year!
FAST Assessments are December 12-16
During the week of December 12, students in grades K-5 will take their second progress monitoring assessment in both Reading and Math. Most students will take their Reading assessment on December 12 and their Math assessment on December 14. Students with testing accommodations may test in a small group during an alternative time.
The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a progress monitoring tool that will be administered three times per year to track your student's progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout this school year. Your student's results from PM2 are for informational purposes only.
FAST assessments are computer-adaptive tests taken on a computer or tablet. The questions get easier or more difficult depending on how the student responds. Practice tests & resources are available on FLDOE's FAST Students & Families page.
If you have any questions about this test administration, please contact Ms. Hankerd at 437-7533. For more information about the Florida Statewide Assessments program, please visit the Florida Statewide Assessments Portal

Coach Zenalla Awarded Fund-A-Project Grant
Coach Zanella received a Fund-A-Project Grant from Beaver Toyota of St. Augustine and the Flagler Education Foundation. She used her grant to fund the purchase of a Fast-Plants program for her students. With this program, students can observe a plant's entire lifecycle in just 40 days. Students will also see how various factors affect a plant's growth from seed to harvestable plant. You can learn more about the Fast-Plants program on their website and Beaver Toyota's Fund-A-Project at Flagler Education Foundation's website.

or by emailing besattendance@flaglerschools.com
Parents will be notified by letter when a child has accumulated five (5) and ten (10) unexcused absences during a 90-calendar day period. After the 10th unexcused absence, we will schedule a meeting with the parent and the Student Success Team to discuss the truancy problem, compulsory attendance laws, review educational records, and teacher observations. After the meeting, the student and school staff may develop a behavioral contract. If the student continues to accumulate unexcused absences, the Student Success Team shall make a referral to the District Office for assistance and possible home visitation. The parent may be referred to the Court if compliance still needs to be achieved.
