Namid Desert
The Namid desert is coastal desert in southern Africa. The desert extends for more than 2,000 kilometers, and the northern part of the desert is Mocamedes Desert. Average precipitation ranges from two millimetres, to 200 millimetres. some landforms are sand seas, and gravel hills.
Cape of Good Hope
The Cape of Good Hope is in South Africa, and it is not the southern most point in Africa. Portuguese explorer wanted it to be a trade route to interact with the far east. the "Cape of Storms" was the original name for the Cape of Good hope.
Johannesberg
Johannesburg is one of the most wealthy cities in Africa. It has a large economy and one of the biggest in the region. One of the country's biggest resources is gold, and a lot of people have a job as mining. Johannesburg is home to South Africa's Constitutional Court.
Zambezi River
the Zambezi River is the fourth longest river in Africa, and it's by Zambia,Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. The river crosses Africa and empty's into the Indian Ocean. The river provides electricity by having the Karimba Dam, and the Cohora Bassa Dam.
Limpopo River
the Limpopo River is located in Southern Africa, and flows eastwards into the Indian Ocean. The river is 1,750 kilometers. the Limpopo River is the second largest river in Africa. The river empty's in the Indian Ocean like the Zambezi River.
Lusaka
Lusaka is the capital, and the largest city in Zambia. It's one of the fastest growing cities in southern africa. The city is located in a southern part of a plateau.
Kalahari Desert
This desert covers most of Botwanna, and some of South Africa and Namibia. The average rainfall per year is 4.3-7.5 inches per year in the desert. The desert isn't really that much of a desert, because there is vegetation so it makes it a semi-desert.
