- Being open-minded
- Finding new and better ways
- Working as a team

Nurse's Notes
Hello Lone Star Families, This pure bred dog is not mine but could be. Our dogs are mutts and probably by coincidence bred to be the hairiest and most shedding of any breed combinations. Whose college student son goes to an animal shelter and becomes instantly bonded with a golden retriever/chow/husky mix in TEXAS? Then gets a great job that involves travel for 4-6 weeks at a time, most of the year? If you guessed your school nurse's son, then you would be correct! If you guessed that this happened twice, you would also be twice correct! Not exactly the same hairy mix, but close! Anyway, I say all this to talk about finding humor in our lives. Laughing is so good for our immune system, not to mention our spirits and souls. Laughing in addition to healthy eating, sleeping adequately, and exercise will keep our bodies on their best defense.
My sister has started finding funny cartoons from The Farthest Side and Casual Christian Comedy and sharing them in our sibling text group. I encourage you to find what makes your family laugh. We are planning a wiffle ball game using confetti eggs instead of a wiffle ball for an Easter activity. Maybe a fun activity your family could try? Make the rules up as you go along, and we can compare them when we return to school.
Please see my web page on LSE home page under staff then curriculum/support for information regarding CDC's info regarding masks and other official recommendations.
