Seltice Elementary Title I Program
Title I is a federally funded program intended to ensure all students receive an equitable education and to ensure that students at risk for not reaching proficiency on state standardized assessments receive additional assistance. One of the annual requirements of Title I is to hold a meeting to disseminate information about the program. Unfortunately, this year, we are unable to convene in person. Meet Our Title 1 Reading team
Mrs. Hunter ~ I am a certified teacher who has taught Title I for 7 years. I have also taught Kindergarten and First grade. I enjoy being outdoors by the water with my family. My husband and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We have two beautiful daughters. I am excited to begin a new school year and see all your smiling faces! Happy Reading!
Mrs. Osborne ~ I have been a Title I paraprofessional at Seltice for 6 years. Prior to being a para, I was a stay at home mom. I have been married to my husband for 27 years and we have a 15 year old daughter and a 9 year old golden retriever. For fun I like to spend time with my family exploring the mountains of north Idaho. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year.
Mrs. Turnbow ~ I was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene. I've been married for 50 years. We have two sons and two beautiful grandchildren. I spent 21 years on the PF School Board serving staff & students. I have volunteered at Seltice since 1981. Today I continue to help children reach for their goals and bring out the best in them. I enjoy cooking, sewing and baking. I walk 50+ miles a week, spend time with family and friends. Children are my PASSION!

How Are Istation and iReady Assessments Used?
Seltice, like most elementary schools in Post Falls, has a schoolwide Title I Program. This means that our school receives federal allocations to aid instruction for all students. We begin the school year with Istation and iReady assessments that show us students' current levels of skills in reading, math, and writing. Teachers and staff use this information to guide their instruction for classrooms, small groups and individual students.
This is an ongoing cycle: we teach, assess, and adjust our lessons based on information from students' assessments. Our Title I team works with classroom teachers to provide extra support for small groups of students in the skill areas that are most needed in reading, math or writing.
Please contact me if you have questions about our Title I program at Seltice.
