Ida B. Wells was an strong independent woman who was a journalist and an civil rights activist. She would lead an anti-lynching crusade in the United States in the 1890's and became an integral in groups to strive for African/american justice. She was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi on July 16,1862. She died on March 25, 1931.
