Wiggin Street Parent Update

Big picture

Better Together

Dear Wiggin Street Families,

We have had so much fun this week with all our students. The week before break takes a lot of preparation and energy for the staff, but there are so many wonderful memories created. I am including three Google Folders of pictures because there were too many great ones to not share them all!

The first folder has a variety of pictures from this week taken by staff. I want to thank Mrs. Pam Rose, Director of Student Services, for coming to the Kindergarten Gingerbread Man Play and the Winter Concert Dress Rehearsal. She took the most beautiful pictures of the students and they are shared in the second and third folder.

Also, I want to recognize Mrs. Suzy Springer for preparing the third, fourth, and fifth grade students to shine last night at the Winter Concert! They sounded amazing and looked so professional on stage. We look forward to seeing the Kindergarten, First, and Second grade students perform in the spring.

Our Wiggin Street Family wish you all a healthy and happy holiday break, and we look forward to seeing our students when they return on January 3rd!

Happy Holidays,

Christy Grandstaff

Thrive Kids

Thrive Kids with Coach Hannah

Our class this week was full of tests! First, we tested the student's ability to do what I DO and not what I SAY by playing “Simon Does”. We then discussed the importance of matching our words with our actions in order to be an effective leader to those around us. Our second test was a 1 minute test on the student’s current level of wall-ball skills in which they attempted to complete as many ball thrusters (squat down with ball then push press overhead) as possible in 1 minute! The students did an excellent job and had a lot of fun!

Have a wonderful holiday break and a Happy New Year!

Our first session in 2022 will be on Thursday, January 13th at 8:15am! See you then

Winter Weather

Please remember that students will go outside on days where the temperature with wind chill accounted for is at or above 20°f. Be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each day. Coats, hats, and gloves are necessary at this time of the year. Boots are required for playing in the snow. If you need assistance with winter outerwear for your child, please contact our school, and we will happily find warm clothes for them.
