Remote Learning Days
Remote Learning/ Contingency Plans
As we are moving further into the winter months, we need to be prepared for Remote Learning Day due to inclement weather. In our current academic calendar, we only have one snow day to use, therefore there is a much higher chance of us having a Remote Learning day than in the years past.
To be in line with Remote Learning Day expectations for all (Guidance to all Elementary (Click here) & Secondary (Click here)), all special education teachers and service providers must provide activities related to the student's IEP goals/objectives. These activities can be sent through Seesaw, Canvas, paper packs, or email.
REMOTE LEARNING Unique Learning Packets
Students in programs, who are accessing the N2Y curriculum, are most likely the only students who may need paper packets. To receive some stress, Special Services is happy to create and send paper packets to the print shop for you all! Please email Becca or Christy with the number of students on your caseload accessing N2Y, and the grade band being used, who are UNABLE to complete activities through Seesaw or Canvas.
Paperwork Submission
Paperwork submission to Special Services
Currently, all sped teachers, psychs, & related service providers are emailing Heather Decarlo all documents for all student files to be uploaded into Spring. To streamline this process and allow others to be able to upload to spring as well, beginning in January, it will be an expectation that all staff follow the paperwork submission process that has been in place at the secondary level.
The process: Each site will have its own Google form to use (see below). Each teacher, related services provider, and school psych would fill out the form and attach the correct documents to the form instead of attaching them in an email to Heather or Carlie. School administrators will have access to the paperwork submission spreadsheet to help double-check if it is working correctly!
The list of links will all be uploaded to Edplan. Please do not hesitate to ask questions as we roll out this process! 23-24 Google Form Submission Links by School. We have created this document to help support those who travel to multiple sites, but if you are at one site, this may be a ULR you would want to bookmark!
Secondary teacher, this process does not change for you!

FBA/BIP Training 2 is highly recommended for anyone who will be writing FBas/BIPs and will focus on finding interventions that coincide with the "why"
Training 1 will be offered from 8:30-9:30 and 1:30-2:30
Training 2 will be offered from 9:30-10:30 and 2:30-3:30.
