August 27: Community Transmission Update-HIGH LEVEL
Face Coverings to Continue Week of August 30th for Berkeley County Schools
Today, August 27th, the community transmission rate remains High. Per the Berkeley-Morgan County Board of Health (BCBH), face coverings will be required by all persons in Berkeley County Schools/Offices/Buildings next week, August 30th-September 5th.
NOTE: Required face coverings can be a temporary situation. When our community experiences fewer transmissions, we will move to a LOW/MODERATE level with recommended face coverings, rather than required. This will require community action. We must all work together to reduce community transmissions.
SUBSTANTIAL/HIGH: Universal face coverings for students and staff will be REQUIRED when levels of Covid community transmission reach levels designated as SUBSTANTIAL or HIGH.
LOW /MODERATE: Face covering will be HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for students and staff when the level of Covid community transmission is LOW or MODERATE while indoors and in areas where social distancing is limited.
HOW WILL I KNOW FACE COVERING STATUS?
