The Hour of Code (2 Hours)

The Hour of Code is December 3-9, but this is a great option to complete anytime during the month of December. Click the Hyperdoc below to access everything you will need for the Hour of Code. To complete this option, please read the information about the hour of code, watch the video, and complete one of the activities before turning it over to your students. Once you have completed one of the activities, send Brittni or Ashley a copy of your certificate or a screenshot of your completed product. Then have your students complete the activity and send us evidence of your choice to show they did it. (A picture of students, copies of student certificates, etc.) Please do not hesitate to ask if you have questions, or if you would like one of us to be in your classroom for support that day, click our booking links below.

Ditch Summit (1-8 Hours)

Matt Miller, author of Ditch that Textbook and co-author of Ditch That Homework, is putting on a free online conference with some really great presenters. The conference consists of nine videos that will be sent to you via email if you sign up. One video will be sent per day beginning December 14th. The videos are only available until December 31st, so it is time sensitive. You can watch the videos anytime you like. At the end of each presentation, you will receive a PD certificate. Download the certificate and email it to Ashley or Brittni along with a paragraph describing what you learned from the presentation and how you might apply it. Each submission counts as an hour toward your tech pd, so you can use this to count for as many hours as you would like. To see a list of the presenters or to sign up, click the link below.
