General News:
First day of B.L.A.S.T. is this Monday, September 9th. Boost Learning After School Tutoring (B.L.A.S.T.) aims to help students succeed in their classes in a fun and supportive environment after school. There is a maximum of 35 students allowed per classroom, so come on over after school before spots will up! Tutoring takes place 3:15pm - 4:15pm. Click here to take a look at the BLAST schedule.
Girl’s Volleyball try-outs will be this Tuesday, September 10th and Thursday, September 12th from 3:30 to 5:00pm. Students must have turned in a Hold Harmless Agreement to participate in try-outs. You may drop off the Hold Harmless agreement for Fall sports (Flag Football, Girls Volleyball, and Cross Country) at the front office with Ms. Maya or to the coaches during tryouts.
Our award-winning Wildcat yearbook staff is currently taking pre-orders for the 2019-2020 yearbook at 20% off the end-of-the-year price! Support our school by purchasing a yearbook through the front office, our RMS webstore, or www.jostens.com! Click here to see our flyer
Health Office: It's hot out there! The Health Office would like to remind parents to send a refillable water bottle with their student daily. Please help us keep your student healthy and hydrated while on campus.
Safety Reminder: If your students are riding skateboards, bikes, or scooters to school, please ensure that they have a lock to secure their items and that they have a helmet to keep them safe. In addition, a law went into effect this year that anyone under 18 not wearing a helmet can get a fix-it ticket. If cited, they will need to complete a safety course and have a helmet that meets safety standards. We appreciate your support in having conversations about this important safety rule.
Library News: The library will open for student use on Tuesday, September 10. The library is open before school, after school, and during both lunches. Students can also visit the library during class time with a pass from their teacher. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mrs. Westphal at deannawestphal@vistausd.org.
