National Elementary Honor Society Service Project
Our National Elementary Honor Society students are spearheading a supply drive for children in Venezuela as their yearly service project. Right now, the economy in Venezuela is really struggling and infant supplies are in great demand. The hospitals do not have basic supplies to care for the infants that are born/sick in their hospital and many are not getting better. Mrs. Acevedo, our 2nd grade SPLASH teacher, is going home this summer to Venezuela and we would like to help her by sending her with supplies to help these babies. The supplies in the greatest demand are:
• Small baby onesies
To learn a little bit more about this project/need, please see www.sunrisas.org, an organization that helps to ship the supplies over to Venezuela.
Let’s help Mrs. Acevedo proudly take blessings collected from our school back to her country!
Please turn in supplies to Mrs. Askins by May 16, 2016.
