Spring Break
We will be doing the spring break shut down next Friday. We will be putting to bed the refrigerators at five. If there is a specific project that you need completed in your room, please let me know. We will have a full custodial crew over the two weeks. We will be painting, clearing carpets, hopefully spreading mulch if the weather cooperates, and conducting projects that will allow us to get our work done faster this summer.
Thank You
Thanks for all your great work during our first round of ISTEP +. There are so many moving parts that must come together to be successful. It was pulled off again with part one due to your exemplary efforts and flexibility. IREAD-3 next Tuesday morning will be another opportunity.
SLO
If you need help with entering information into SFS about your SLO, Valerie and I will be available next Wednesday morning in the media center from 7:50 to 8:05, or by appointment. I would suggest you get your information in SFS before spring break.
Valerie's Vision
Limitless Teaching
Imagine wanting to teach your students about computer monitors, keyboards, a mouse, a formatting toolbar, or drawing toolbar without having a computer. That’s exactly what a teacher from Ghana did- by drawing pictures of these items on his chalkboard.
He wanted his students to have the same experience and knowledge of computers, even if there were none available in the school. Here is a link to a brief article about him.

After hearing this story, Microsoft did donate a computer to him as well as some software. This situation seems almost unimaginable- with the lack of technology. But this lack did not stop the teacher from finding a way to teach his students. The week prior to spring break, I encourage you to find ways to reach your students despite whatever obstacle you may be facing. You are only limited by your own fears.
“Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.” -Jamie Paolinetti
