Use of apostrophes

Apostrophes are used in contractions, showing omitted letters.

Examples: Don't, Can't, Isn't, Wouldn't

You also use apostrophes whenever something is possessive. Whether it is singular or plural, you use an apostrophe both times.

Example of Singular: Jane's,Jack's, Sam's

Plural: Children's, Mom and Dad's, Men's
