Important Announcements

Device Collection

On Monday, we will begin the device collection process for RCES. Please see the schedule below to know when your Ranger's device AND charger will be collected. For families who have a hot spot, that will need to be returned as well on your Ranger's collection day.

5th grade families: Your Ranger will keep their devices and take them to middle school with them. Should they have any issues over the summer with the device, you will need to contact the middle school of which they will be attending. If your 5th grader has a hot spot, you will need to return those to RCES on your collection day.

Device Collection Schedule:

Monday, June 7: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Tuesday, June 8: 3rd - 4th Grade

Wednesday, June 9: PM LOOLA Drop Off from 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Thursday, June 10: AM LOOLA Drop Off from 7:00am - 9:00am

(LOOLA may choose whichever time works best for your schedule.)

Fees may be charged for anything not returned.

School Dismisses at 11:40 on June 9

As a reminder, school will dismiss at 11:40 am on Wednesday, June 9, which is the last day of school. Both breakfast and lunch will be served. Please make sure you have returned the form sent home last week.

If your child attends Alphabest, the last day for Alphabest will be Tuesday, June 8, so please plan accordingly for childcare on June 9.

Important Message from Nurse Lindsey

Thank you for allowing us to meet your children’s health needs this year. The end of the school year is almost here and we are planning to close the health room for summer.

We are unable to store medications in the health room during the summer. Parents must pick up the medications by June 9, 2021. All medications left in the health room after June 9, 2021 will be disposed of, according to our District Policy. If you have any questions about medications in the health room, please contact the school nurse.

Thank you –

Nurse Lindsey

Lexington County Public Library Summer Reading Program

The Lexington County Public Library will be having a summer reading program again this summer. ALL youth participating receive a FREE book at the beginning when they register instead of the end. They will also receive a few other freebies like coupons for free food, a bookmark, and stickers. Here is the link to the Summer Reading Program. Reading each day is the best way to prevent the "summer slide," so we hope all of our Rangers will take advantage of this free opportunity!

Morning and Afternoon Car Line

  • You may use both lanes in the morning, just like we do in the afternoon. Begin the "zipper method" merging at the same point in line that the afternoon zipper merge starts.

  • You may drop off in the front car line OR the bus loop.

  • Always exit from cars along the sidewalk curb. At no time are children to exit from the left side of the vehicle.

  • Please have students ready when they reach the unloading zone. Use your time in the line to find a mask and get it on, gather book bag and lunch box, put on jackets, etc. The quicker our students exit vehicles, the quicker the line will move.

  • At no time should children be dropped off in the parking lot or sent across the crosswalk alone. An adult is required to walk the student ALL THE WAY ACROSS the crosswalk for your students' safety.

  • Parents and drivers should not leave their vehicle to assist with unloading or unbuckling students.

  • In the afternoon, parents and drivers should not leave their vehicle to assist with buckling students. If you need to assist your child with buckling, please move up to the gold cone. If you need to exit the vehicle for this, please pull into a parking space for your safety.

  • Please have car tags displayed in afternoon car line until your child is loaded.
