Social Emotional Learning at Howard
Important Dates
School Committee Meeting- Monday, November 7 at the MSHS Learning Commons at 6pm.
Picture Retake Day- Wednesday, November 9. If you would like to order online please go to mylifetouch.com. Our picture day ID is EVT4KRWBP. If your child is having their picture retaken make sure to have them bring in the original packet to give to the photographer.
Report Cards- Available on Aspen Thursday, November 10. You will receive an email when they are ready to view.
No School Friday, November 11- Veteran's Day
Parent Conferences- Conferences are scheduled for Friday, November 18-22. Please see the links below to schedule a conference with your child's teacher.
Grade 6 Sign-Ups- 6th-grade parents please only select 2 teachers to sign up with for a conference.
SPED for Mrs. Knight & Mrs. Lehane (only)- 4th & 5th grade SPED teachers will meet during your regular conference.
Early Release- Wednesday, November 23. Dismissal is at 11:30 am and no lunch will be served.
No School Thanksgiving Break- November 24 7 25
SURROUND CARE
November's school schedule will include 3 early release days to facilitate Parent-Teacher Conferences. To accommodate parent's schedules, we offer the opportunity for your child to remain at school after dismissal as part of our Surround Care program at the Spring Street School for Kindergarten, at the Rose L. MacDonald School for grades 1-3, and at the Howard School for grades 4-6. The fee is $9/hr. Students must bring their own lunch or pre-order a bagged lunch from the cafeteria (food service link on the district website). You may pick up your child at any time before the closing time of 6 pm. A snack/drink will be provided later in the day as well.
To be sure there is adequate staff available, we ask that you complete the registration below no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 15th.
The early release days are: Friday, November 18
Monday, November 21
Tuesday, November 22
There will be no Surround Care on Wednesday, November 23rd.
***Please complete this registration form even if your child is a regular attendee in the program so that we know your plans for the day. A separate registration is required for each day you plan to have your child attend.

2022 Fall Book Fair
We are pleased to announce our 2022 Fall Book Fair. Our Book Fair will be held during parent teacher conferences in the Rose L MacDonald Lobby. Parents and guardians will be able to shop during the parent teacher conference hours. We also are looking for volunteers to help work the book fair. Please check out the PTO website at www.wbpto.org
