Connecticut Student Writers Competition!!
Three MLC ninth graders earned honorable mention recognition on their submissions to the Connecticut Student Writers competition!!
• Victor Cazassa (poetry honorable mention: “Scared”)
• Kirby Ramores (non-fiction honorable mention: “Existentialism and the Doomer Perspective”)
• Bella Ward (fiction honorable mention: “The Gemini Effect”)
UConn received close to 2,000 submissions this year in the categories of poetry, non-fiction, and fiction, so to be recognized is a huge accomplishment!
If you know them, have them in class, or if you’ve had them in the past, it would mean so much if you took a minute to commend them on their submissions!
SENIORS and their Parent(s)/Guardian(s): International Baccalaureate Decision to Cancel IB Exams for May 2020

Additionally, the IBO has changed the grading criteria to meet the impact of C-19 so that the high level of academic excellence and rigor expected by the IB and recognized by the higher education establishments around the globe can be retained.
