Hello Ponies!!

Can you believe the first nine weeks is already behind us!! It has been a busy start to the first of the year! We hope the beginning of your school year has been great. Remember, we are here to support you and your students. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help support you!!

Be on the lookout for our NEW character trait street signs for each hallway. Thanks PTA!!!

What has the counseling department been up to?

The counseling department has been very busy. We taught 74 guidance lessons in the first nine weeks.

Food 4 Kids

Food 4 Kids is being delivered to students every Friday. Currently, we are serving 39 students in this program. If you feel like you have students that could benefit from this program, please fill out one of the green forms and return it to the counselors.

Professional Development

On October 11th, we attended a training given by the Excel Center on running effective groups with students. We are very excited to use our newly acquired skills in group counseling.

Mrs. Echevarria is facilitating the Culinary Adventures and Mrs. Renegar is facilitating the Crafting Connections Club.

Unity Day

Thank you for all of the support on Unity Day! We are showing the world that Ponies are standing up to bullying. A special thank you to Mrs. Hayes for the great banner!

Character Trait Awards

Thank you for nominating all of your students who show our monthly character traits. Keep 'em coming!

Here are our winners for the month of September and October...

Guidance Lessons for the Second Nine Weeks

Our unit for the second nine weeks will focus on empathy. Students will learn how to identify and understand his/her own feelings and the feelings of others in order to get along better. Third through fifth grade will also continue their lessons on anti-bullying and respect.
