Principal's Message
Hello Wildcat Pride,
First, I want to thank everyone who came out and saw all the cool things our teachers are doing at curriculum night. This week the fall season starts to get rolling as volleyball, badminton and golf all have matches.
I want to compliment our students, as they have really started to show that they are getting back in the groove of attending and participating in school. We are seeing great energy and higher rate of engagement as we begin this school year. StuCo has done an excellent job of working to build school pride. Our hope is that this will be contagious among all of our students, leading more spirit and better grades and engagement all around.
As we hit the four and a half week grade mark on Wednesday, I encourage every student and every parent to take a good look at your grades. This will be a great indication of where you are and what you need to do to improve.
Parents and students if your grades aren't where they should be I want to remind you that, it is not the grade that makes you better. It's the work you put in, the struggle you are willing to endure and grow from. Monty Williams, head coach of the Phoenix Suns has a saying "Everything worth having, everything you want is on the other side of hard." I think it is important that we remember that we are not given anything, we need to earn it. The struggle may be different for all of us, some may struggle with learning, others may struggle with hunger, others with mental health, for many of us the struggle is time and prioritizing to ensure we complete all that is necessary. I want to encourage you to not give up.
Let's have another great week,
Be PAWSitive and Go Cats!
