2020-2021 Planning

We will soon be in the process of planning and placing students into homerooms for next year. Please find a letter below with some information on how this process works. As a reminder, class lists WILL NOT be sent via email over the summer. Parents will need to log into PowerSchool to see their child’s homeroom teacher once it goes live in August. Parents are encouraged to set up their accounts ASAP to access before the next school year begins.

2020-2021 School Calendar

Here is a copy of next year's school calendar. (click the button below) Please note that Parent/Teacher Conferences are now in early November with a full week off over Thanksgiving.

Ecology Club- Spring Session

Interested in being greener here at school? The Ecology Club meets in three sessions during the year to explore ‘eco’ problems through organic gardening, checking how we use resources, and making useful objects from garbage created in the building. You can be part of this change! Each session is $50. Club members will make handmade paper, grow plants in the green house, take care of an earthworm farm, and participate in an Earth Day project. We meet every Wednesday in the science lab except early dismissal Wednesdays.

To sign up for Ecology Club please go to www.pushcoin.com Please click on Webstore and then select MES Ecology Club

Student Council

Student Council will be collecting aluminum pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. The proceeds from the pop tabs collected, will help support the operating costs of the Ronald McDonald House. Who would have thought that by drinking a pop you could help others out by recycling the pop tabs? We will begin collecting them starting on Tuesday, March 3rd. Please send them in with your child and they can drop them in the bins by the front and back door of the school entrances. Thank you for all your support this year.

Read to Succeed

The Great America Read to Succeed program is in full swing! Your child can participate by reading 6 hours and logging those minutes on the Six Flags website. It is very easy. Simply go to sixflags.com/books and enter your child's teacher's unique code to set up an account for your child. You can log all the hours at once or one day at a time. All minutes need to be entered by April 1, 2020 in order to receive a free ticket to Great America this summer! If you have any questions, please contact Renee Marasco at rmarasco@millburn24.net.

If you know anyone in our district who may not receive this notification, please ask them to contact the school. We appreciate your help as we prepare for next

school year!
