Career Planning with Digital Portfolios
The 21things4students.net project was created as an educational and online resource to help students improve their technology proficiency as they prepare for success in the 21st century and is supported by a grant from the REMC Association of Michigan.
Students earn badges as they work through each area of the 21 Things. Section 16 of this web quest focuses on Career Prep and the importance of a building a good web presence. One task in this are of the 21 Things is building a Digital Portfolio.

You may want to see how college student Levi Smith’s digital electronic portfolio (e-portfolio) has evolved since he was in high school. Make note of the images, pages, and contents now that he is older.

Students should really take note of the type of competition they will be going up against for scholarships and jobs and create their own digital portfolios to put their best selves forward.
