Excited to Be a Hornet!

Hello Kirtland Families! I am thrilled to join the Kirtland community and begin working as the principal of Kirtland Elementary School. I look forward to meeting you all and working with your children! As you know, our teams have been working on the plans for a safe return to school. A big thanks to everyone who joined the Town Hall with Mr. VanArnhem and I. We answered a lot of thoughtful questions and enjoyed the opportunity to share the information we know, as of now, with you. I will continue to communicate district plans as information becomes available. Please feel free to contact me if you have specific questions I can answer. Thank you for your support and your commitment to fostering academic and personal growth in your children, with us, as a team!

Summer Brain Boost Camp

Kirtland Schools’ has offered our students in grades K-3 the C.H.A.M.P.s Camp for the past six years. We expanded our summer programming and created the Summer Brain Boost for students that have just completed Kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2020 summer. Students that just completed Kindergarten through Grade 3 were given the opportunity to attend in-person or virtually and students that just completed 4th through 8th grade are attending classes virtually. Currently 58 students are attending the Summer Brain Boost. Teachers provide a relaxed low stress approach that the students are truly enjoying.
