Greetings, Hosmer Families!
Happy Thanksgiving Week! I'm sure that many of you are gearing up for a busy week of travelling, cooking, and/or hosting guests. These things can be wonderful and they can cause sometimes challenging shifts in the day to day for us and for kids. I wish all of you a good week ahead and hope that no mattter what you do, you are able to find moments of quiet gratitude. Personally, I am tremendously grateful for our Hosmer community - staff, families, and students. Thank you for your ongoing support of our school. It means a lot to all of us and speaks to the strength of our Watertown Community.
Wednesday Dismissal Time - 12noon
Please note that our Wednesday dismissal is earlier than a typical early release day. STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT NOON. Please plan accordingly. We will have a similarly early release at noon on Friday, December 22nd, at the start of the December vacation week.
STEM Night
What a fantastic night we had hosting the DIstrictwide Elementary STEM Night last night! A few pictures are included below and more can be seen on our social media pages.
Pie Pickup on Monday!
- If you ordered pies through the 5th grade fundraiser, they will be available for pickup at Hosmer on Monday, November 20
- Pie orders can be picked up on Monday between 2:30-6:00.
PTO has sent out emails to those who purchased with a survey asking around what time they plan on doing pick up so Id appreciate it if you mentioned that PTO email so people will respond to the survey.

Food Drive Thank You
Thank you to everyone who supported our Food Drive! As you can see from the photo, we are going to be able to fill the Community Fridge several times over!
Shoeboxes & Paper Towel Tubes?
We are collecting shoeboxes (with lids) and paper towel tubes for a Grade 1 project. If you have any to contribute, please drop them by the main office.
Unwanted Halloween Candy?
Thank you so much to those who have made some candy drop-offs! We are still opened to taking that unwanted/leftover Halloween candy for faculty meetings, etc.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminder
When waiting in vehicles during drop-off/pick-up, please refrain from idling. If you are parked and waiting, please turn off your vehicle to prevent air pollution.

All students who were absent on picture day will get their picture taken. Picture brochures are in the main office.
If you would like a retake, return the picture package on Thurs Dec 7th and your child will have their picture retaken.
