Teacher Day:
- The teacher workday for Turrill teachers is from 8:40 – 3:45.
- On Collaboration or SIP/Staff Meetings the teacher workday is 7:50 - 3:45.
- 1-Hour Professional Development Days are from 7:40-8:40.

Field Day Details
Field day will be Tuesday, June 11th (No rainout date)
- E5-2 will have their field day in the morning roughly 9:05-11:15
- 3-5 will have their field day in the afternoon roughly 1:15-3:25
Parent Volunteers will run the activities and teachers will escort classes
Pre-owned colored shirts by classroom:
Red = Brown, Craft
Blue = Badryka, Baxter
White = Abeare, Tripp
Black = Ruhlman, Chaffin
Gray = Burgeson, Fantin
Green = Campbell, Berry
Yellow = Smith, Hoganson
Orange = Christian, Short
Turqoise = Oliver
Transition Day
- At 10:25: release 5th graders and any students who will not be returning to Turrill to the playground/gym to be supervised by the 5th grade paras.
- E5 students will be sent to the appropriate K classroom.
- Then the "crew" (Resource Room, LCs and anyone else who is available) will start in 4th grade and escort the students to their new classrooms.
- We will continue to move down the grade levels until all of the students are where they need to be.
- Annette will make the announcement at 11:00 to have students return to their class.

EOY Celebration Itinerary
2:30-3:15: 5th Grade Assembly (gym will be open at 2:15 with video or ppt playing as parents and students arrive)
- 2:30: Welcome speech by Principal
- 2:40-2:50 Berry's class*
- 2:50-3:00 Hoganson's class*
- 3:00-3:10 Short's class*
*Teacher reads students index card with name including:
1. student writes accomplishments they are proud of
2. student's favorite memory/student receives "certificate of completion" from principal and other teachers/students stand against opposite wall and sit down as next class stands
3:15 – 3:25: E5-4th grade "Clap Up"
- Teacher will hand me the card to read as your class parades through the gym for their "Clap Up" during the EOY Celebration.
E5-4th Grade will be dismissed by announcement to parade through the gym. Parents are welcome to join the parade with their child. Principal reads Class index card with:
Your Name
Something your Class is proud of achieving this year
A favorite class memory from the year
What your class is looking forward to about next year
3:25: 5th Grade Group picture with Sign (gives other classes time to get back to classrooms to prepare for Clap Out)
3:30: 5th Grade "Clap Out" (Pomp and Circumstance playing across School PA)

The end of Trimester 3 is June 14 and last day for teachers is June 17
Teachers should have completed report cards by the end of the last day for teachers
Pre-labeled envelopes stuffed by teacher including: Assessment letters (printed by the teacher when all data is in Illuminate), MAP reports (reports will be printed by the office), IRIP exit letters if applicable
*Report Cards will be sent home electronically on a date to be determined and Pre-Labeled Envelopes will be mailed home
TEACHER CORNER
Literacy Center and Summer Reading Update
Calendar Highlights for remainder of this school year:
- Last day for checkout is May 31.
- Starting June 3 the Lit Center will be available as a space but please do not remove books from the shelves including the leveled book bins (the blue bins).
Upcoming 2019-2020 school year:
- We'll start with checking out just 3 blue bin books starting Monday, August 5th
- The Lit Center will be open for all books on Tuesday, September 3rd
Summer Reading Program:
- All grade levels, E5 through 4th grade, will be participating in the Summer Reading Program
- Book shopping before and after school on June 6th and at the carnival.
- Any students that need to book shop after June 6th will be handled by Kim Sullivan the following week

SCHOOL SAFETY
CARE Team
Purpose: called in Emergency Situations when Staff and/or Student Safety is at risk.
Emergency Situations:
1. Is there an ongoing emergency?
2. Does the student's behavior pose an imminent risk to student's or others' safety?
3. Does the situation require an immediate intervention?
Protocol for Summoning the Team:
- Classroom teacher will contact the office by any means necessary
- Secretary (or available office staff) will use Walkie Talkie to call for "CARE Team to Room (include teacher's name)
Team members:
- All Level 2 CPI trained staff
- Custodial Staff
- Office Staff
Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)
Purpose: called in emergency Medical situations.
Protocol for Summoning the Team:
- Classroom teacher will contact the office by any means necessary
- Secretary (or available office staff) will use Walkie Talkie to call for "MERT Team to Room (include teacher's name)
