Goals Conferences & Clarification
I do want to clarify something that was brought up in conversation in a goals conference. It was brought to my attention that some of you are feeling like you are just "never good enough". You work, work, work to reach your goals and you are successful, and rather than celebrating, it just gets bumped up another level. First of all, I want to apologize if I've made you feel that way! There is not ONE member of our staff who does not have kids' best interests at heart. There is not a single ONE of you who does not give 100% to the kids every day! There is not ONE of you who does not excel at your craft! Please know that your accomplishments are recognized and appreciated, and I will try to do a better job of making that clear. As for the bumping up of expectations, our guidelines for evaluations do not come from me or even from the district. All guidelines for evaluations are handed down from the state. While I do not always, sometimes never, agree with those guidelines, it is my job to make sure that we all adhere to them. In doing so, it seems I've given you the wrong impression though, so I will try to be more cognizant of this.
You are absolutely an amazing staff! You work so well together, you support each other, you are KIND to each other and all of this contributes to our students' overall achievement! Thank you for all you do EVERY DAY!

Afternoon Dismissal
At 3:05, all classroom teachers (who will be conferencing and tutoring) are dismissed. All others....
1) In the gym, Katie and Heather will continue with the daycare students until 3:15pm. At that point, Katie can leave and Heather can finish up, if necessary.
2) In the cafeteria, Sandra and Erin will continue with the parent walk ups and Martha will move to the 200 hallway to help with car pickups.
3) Christopher will also go to the 200 hallway at 3:05. The remaining students in the 200 classrooms will need to move into the hallway and have a seat against the wall. Lisa, Rosie, and Ashley will work porch stations 1, 3 and 5 (plus Zachary somewhere until he is finished with his student teaching). Lisa will need to keep an eye around the corner watching for students to come to the porch. Christopher and Martha kinda keep an eye out as you release them to the front porch. I will be calling 2 STUDENTS(groups) to each of the odd stations starting at 3:05pm, but you will be loading 2 stations, ie #1 (1,2) and #3 (3,4) and #5 (5,6). If that's clear as mud, Lisa, Rosie and Ashley come ask me. :-)
4) At 3:15 (or earlier), we will call all remaining students to the front lobby from all areas for dismissal. If you made it all the way to this point reading, come high five Dee in the hallway Monday morning!!! :-)
