Enon PTO Newsletter
Welcome note from our PTO President
Hello Enon Families,
On behalf of the PTO I’d like to welcome everyone to the 2014-15 school year. This newsletter will be our way of communicating what is happening in and around Enon Elementary. It contains valuable information with specific dates and times of monthly events. Many times you will receive a Parent Link from Mr. Crusco reminding you of the event or updating any changes that may be occurring.
After a month into the new year, I trust that you have found your routine and are settling into the exciting work of a new grade. After having wrapped up our first big fundraiser of the year it is now time for some family fun activities. Be on the lookout for more information coming home on our annual Harvest Festival. Restaurant nights are scattered throughout the month. These nights provide Enon with an easy fundraiser that gives families a break from planning an evening meal and being able to see friends outside the setting of school, all while supporting Enon.
Please consider becoming involved in the many events offered by your PTO. Sign up Genius, an email distribution vehicle, is our way of letting you know where and when your participation is needed the most. If you’d like to be in on the planning of any programs, please send me an email (email@example.com) and I can put you in touch with the right committee(s) that suits your interests. We are looking forward to a successful year. We appreciate your contribution to keeping Enon Elementary the best kept secret in Chesterfield County.
‘Raise the Steaks’ – New Restaurant Night Partner
We are super excited to announce that Logan’s Roadhouse has partnered up with the Enon Elementary PTO to offer ‘Raise the Steaks’ spirit nights with menu options such as steaks, burgers, seafood, wings and desserts. Through this fundraiser, 15-20% of your pre-tax meal total will be donated back to the PTO to support our school. We thank Logan’s Roadhouse for jumping on board to support us.
Please consider working the PTO Spirit Nights into your calendar. Details are on the school calendar (on the website), on the PTO facebook page and regularly reminded through parentlink phonecalls and stickers/flyers that go home with students.
Spirit/Restaurant nights present a great opportunity to catch up with friends and family, all while supporting our school. Why not arrange that Moms’ night out, or a birthday dinner, or a Christmas catch up with friends? Guests do not have to be part of Enon, they just need to mention that they are dining to support Enon. All an easy and fun way to support our school (with the added bonus of no washing up). If you cannot make it to eat in, carry out is also available.
We thank our partners; Logan’s Roadhouse, Cesare’s and Chick-Fil-A, and look forward to seeing you at one of our spirit nights soon.

Websites to Promote Education-Dreambox
Has your child come home talking about Dreambox? Dreambox is an online adaptive math program that differentiates students learning. CCPS has purchased this site for all k-5 students in efforts to allow for differentiated math practice anytime, anywhere.
This past weekend, security issues were brought to the attention of county employees which resulted in some brief interruptions and login changes for at home access. The recommended way for students to access Dreambox at home would be to follow these steps:
- Open Google Chrome
- Go to my.ccpsnet.net
- Enter your students user number and Password (obtain from your classroom teacher if you or your student do not know this information.)
- Click on the student's Backpack
- Click on Dreambox

Please take this survey to let us know what you think about the paperless newsletter!
Please use this form to print and turn into your classroom teacher if you choose to OPT OUT of allowing PTA to use your email address.
