Thank you Huntley Hills for inviting me to join your strong, inspiring group of educators. This will be my second year teaching but first year in elementary. I was born and raised in Atlanta and attended Emory University where I earned a Bachelors in Educational Studies focusing on Multicultural Education. Studying abroad in India and Turkey, I completed research projects on the local K-5 ed systems. Post graduation, I joined Corporate America in Finance, where I stayed for 10+ years and got an MBA at Georgia State. After that, I took my love of math to the classroom. This past year, I taught 6th Grade Math in a Title I Atlanta Public School. I plan for this to be the first of many years at HH as a 4th Grade ELA/SS teacher. My husband is a pediatric occupational therapist. When we aren’t working, we are traveling, laughing and playing with our almost one-year old boy and Australian Cattle dog. We just moved to Chamblee and are thrilled to be here!

Greetings, Huntley Hills Family

I consider myself the most important variable in my classroom; therefore I cultivate happiness and spotlight my students daily with motivation and determination. My endorsements include ESOL, Gifted, and Teacher Support Specialist. I have one son, Chandler Myers (23) who is my “Sunshine In All Four Seasons.” My hobbies include reading, watching movies, water aerobics, meeting people, dining at various restaurants and being anywhere near an ocean with beautiful water. My favorite place for rest and relaxation is the Isle of Palms in Charleston, South Carolina.
As an exceptional education educator of Huntley Hills Elementary School, I am confident that I will be able to make significant contributions, and willingly do all that is bestowed upon me to ensure the learning success of our students.
My educational philosophy is: “On the human chessboard, all moves are possible.” ~Miriam Schiff
