The Central Scoop

August 12, 2022

From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! We are glad that you are joining us as we embark on an exciting year of teaching and learning at Central School. I'm excited about all that this new school year has to offer and look forward to working collectively as a Central School community to ensure that we provide our students with the best educational experience possible.

Looking ahead, all signs point to an incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted teachers are already planning and preparing for your children. Our enthusiastic office team is registering new families, ordering needed materials and updating student files. Our hard working and conscientious custodians have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the facility. And, our much-appreciated PTA is gearing up to welcome families, provide volunteer opportunities, and offer other exciting events and programs.

While we are excited to return to a more typical school year, the health and safety of our students is still our number one priority. We are consistently in communication with the local health departments regarding any health protocols, and the Wilmette Police Department regarding necessary safety measures. We have strong collaborative relationships with both departments.

Overall, I am confident that this will be a great year for our Central Foxes! See below for important updates for this coming school year. I will be sending all families a weekly Central Scoop each Friday. It is important that you keep your contact information in PowerSchool current in order to receive these updates.

With Warm Regards,

~ Becky

However, all of our students will be eating in the cafeteria together! ! For more information about our food service, please click here.

Snack:

Snacks are limited to fruits and vegetables only in classrooms. The items brought to school can be cut up and placed in baggies/containers from your home, or be pre-packaged bags of apples, carrots, etc. as we often see sold in bulk. Please avoid those that are packaged with dips or items that require the labeling of contents.
