MMS Virtual Library
Mrs. Brooks
Hellooooo! Are you there? 😀 Hope you're reading...
I know...a lot of you tell me you don't read. But whether it's online or from your personal library, whether you're reading info about a YouTube video or directions on how to make a box of mac and cheese, YAY! You're reading! :) And obviously it's an important skill to keep up on. Just 30 minutes a day is a good goal, but feel free to read more if you want. I know I am. (You're surprised, right?) I haven't made it all the way through my home library yet, in case you're wondering.
I'm sad we can't meet up in MMS's hallways or in the library right now, but I've got a bunch of FREE resources listed below in case you're about to tell me you don't have any books right now. Or if you've read everything in your home library and want to find a good book to read, look below. I'll be posting some reviews and book chats about some cool books and also letting you know where you can find them.
I'll also be posting some fun info about how to create your own stories. Right now, writing, journaling, reporting on what your experience is right now is a good way to process how you're feeling. It also can let others (maybe younger siblings, distant family members, future generations) know how you coped during this difficult time.
Finally, I just wanted to let you know how proud I am of all of you. It's not easy feeling cooped up and not being able to gather with your friends, but keep doing what you're doing--you're keeping yourself, your family, and your community safe, and we all appreciate it very much.
Stay Safe, Stay Strong, and Don't Give Up!

What to do about checked-out library books
Right now, all books aren't due until we come back to school. (April 17, 2020 right now) but If that changes, that due date may be pushed back. We'll keep you posted.
For now, hold tight to that book. We would like you to return it.
