From the Principal
Dear Copeland Families,
I hope you all have a great week off and a nice Thanksgiving. I plan to spend the week with family. We have so much for which to be thankful.
At Copeland, we are thankful for wonderful community sponsors. We have been blessed with donations from the following area businesses for our Veterans’ Day festivities and Colonial Day: discount from Romero’s Las Brazas Restaurant, Cypress Yard Signs, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee, and discount from Jason’s Deli. Please support these awesome community partners!
Thanks for your support of our spirit nights! Texas Roadhouse Spirit Night is December 2nd, and box night for 3rd grade at Marco’s Pizza is December 10th. Please remember to mention that you are with Copeland so our school gets credit for your purchase.
Looking ahead, our 5th grade students will have their field trip to see a play and will return to school for their annual luncheon on December 4th. No lunch visitors are allowed on this day, as all other grades will be eating in their classrooms. Thanks for your understanding. Our 4th graders will have a field trip to see a play on December 5th. Kindergarten Grinch Day is December 6th.
Mark your calendars for our 5th grade choir program to be held on December 17th at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Vigil has been busy preparing the students to entertain us all. We are in for a treat! We will have a brief PTO meeting starting at 6:15 p.m. Please attend if you are able.
Our Winter Parties will be December 20th. Remember to send in your RSVPs if you or your family members plan to attend. While you are out shopping, please pick up a gift for our Giving Tree. Additional information can be found in this edition of the Hoofbeat. Our Giving Tree is another wonderful Copeland tradition.
PreK is going full day for eligible students on January 6th. Our team is hosting an informational meeting for all PreK parents on December 10th at 6:00 p.m. We hope everyone can join us!
Please have our Colts here at school on time and ready to learn. We open the doors at 7:45 a.m., and instruction begins right after morning announcements at 8:10 a.m. We have had an increase in tardiness and students leaving early. Every minute of instruction counts! We want all our Colts to succeed! Thanks for your help.
