From the Office:
*Thanks to the PTA reps who planned and led the parties on Wednesday for Halloween! We all had a great time! The parties were super creative, fun and the students and staff really appreciate all your efforts!
*Today we are celebrating Ability Awareness as we will continue to do both this month and then again in April. We thank NWSRA for bringing this program to us for grades 2-5. We will have a different educational experience for our students in grades K and 1. Students are learning about visual, hearing and physical impairments, autism spectrum, how we can support our friends, adapted Boccia wheelchairs, and intellectual disabilities. It was a great day. Please be sure to ask your children about their experiences. Contact Mrs. Anastacio if you have any questions.
*The Windsor Happenings Blog will come out next week to share information about the Ability Awareness Day. Additionally, in November and December our Growth Mindset Focus is Relationships/Challenges and we will share information about those concepts, too!
*REMINDER: Our Wildcat Leadership Council is collecting canned goods for a Windsor Service Project. Please send cans in next week! THANKS!
•Don't forget to "FALL BACK" early Sunday morning as it is time to turn back time one hour for Daylight Savings time!
*Tuesday, November 6th is ELECTION DAY and Windsor is a polling place. We will have school on that day, but will stay in for recess. We will secure the voting area (the gym) so that visitors cannot access the rest of the school building. Voters will have to enter/exit through the gym doors. There will be a building attendant present in the gym to redirect any visitor. We will also have a Central Office Administrator in Windsor on that day. Gym classes will be in the classrooms! Please contact Mrs. Fabrizio if you have any questions.
*With snowy weather on the horizon, we are hoping to help as many students as possible enjoy the fun that comes with it! If you have any gently used snow pants, boots, gloves, or hats that your children have outgrown, please bring them to Windsor office, and we will make them available for students who do not have them during recess. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness!
