A Day in Life

June 13th, 2012

Today is an ordinary day, I got up and my mom made me a light breakfast and I got ready for swim practice. Later, that day I was on my way to an away swim meet. It was a Thunderbolt meet on Old Peachtree Rd. Then on my 2nd event, it was a 25 meter freestyle. When the buzzer went off I paced myself in the beginning of the race. Then one of the girls was catching up to me, so I started going faster! Then it hit me. I had won the race, and I got rewarded with a necklace bead! I felt so happy that day I ran up to my mom and hugged her until I had to go back in the swimmers area. Then I got home and slept like a baby! :).

2012 was important because...............

This year was so important to me because it was one of the years I felt like I was a winner! It was also the year I discovered my passion and love for swimming. One of those meets I won because of the comfort and support I get still today. I started swimming because I was trying to find a passion for myself like my sister does. Then I thought why not do swimming. If my parents had not talked me into swimming I wouldn`t be happy today. I love them so much for comforting me and being there for me all this time. I also got swim lessons at my grandma`s pool when I was younger. Or should I say lesson, the lifeguard said that I only needed 1 lesson because I was so young. Swimming is fun!
