SciGirls Saturday
Our fist SciGirls Saturday will be THIS SATURDAY, January 31st from 9:00-11:30. We will be designing and creating duct tape accessories and Skyping with Stephanie Pounds an artist engineer from Houston (check out her stuff here). I can't wait to see how the girls meet the challenges we have in store. Grapevine Public Library
The Grapevine Public Library has a TON of great resources and activities for teens. They have Lego Mindstorm EV3 Workshops twice a month, free wi-fi access and several other activities as well. Check out their website for dates and more information: Grapevine Library
Engineering Opportunities
The University of Texas at Arlington has several opportunities for students on campus. They offer an engineering Saturday and numerous summer camps for middle school students. GMS will be visiting UTA this spring during Engineering Week. We can't wait to show students a great program, right in our area! To learn more about their programs visit: UTA Engineering
Content Connections:
We will return to our normal 4 period schedule this week. Students that were absent for ACT Aspire testing will be able to make it up as the schedule allows.
