Eagles Band - State Bound! See Special Sendoff Performance Monday!

The Argyle Eagle band is headed for San Antonio! The defending Class 4A state champions will compete for another championship on Wednesday at the Alamodome. Argyle had a spectacular performance last Saturday and was crowned the UIL Area B champions in Denton.


The Eagles will compete on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. in the preliminary round. Be sure to follow Argyle ISD's social media for updates from San Antonio. Before the band leaves for the competition, it will provide a special sendoff performance for the community at 7 p.m. Monday at Eagle Stadium.


Come out and support the band and help send them off with a big crowd Monday night!

Eagles Honoring Veterans at Friday's Game

In honor of Veterans Day next week, Argyle ISD will have a special recognition for veterans at Friday's Eagle football game vs. Paris. All veterans attending the game are invited to join together in the north end zone at 7 p.m. Veterans are encouraged to wear their service hats, shirts, jackets or medals. Veterans Day Tributes Next Week

Veterans Day is Thursday, Nov. 11 and the Argyle ISD campuses will pay tribute to those who are serving or have served our country. The following is a list of events happening next week and veterans in the community are invited to attend these ceremonies.


Argyle Middle School
The campus will host a Veterans' Day recognition in the auditorium on Friday, Nov. 12 at 10:20 a.m. Veterans are invited to attend.

Argyle Intermediate School
The campus is hosting a Veterans Day reception with coffee and breakfast tacos on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 7:45-8:45 a.m. in the AIS multipurpose room. The Melody Eagle Choir will perform. Veterans are invited to attend.


Argyle West Elementary
The campus is holding a ceremony for veterans at 9 a.m. on Nov. 11 and a reception will follow. Friends and family who have served or are currently serving are invited to attend.

Hilltop Elementary
The campus will host a program at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 11. Friends and family who have served or are currently serving are invited to attend. The program will be held in the school gym.

Students Off Monday, Nov. 8

This is reminder for parents that students will be off on Monday, Nov. 8. This will serve as a campus professional development day for all staff. Students return on Tuesday, Nov. 9. To view the school calendar for the year, click here.

Looking Back at Red Ribbon Week!

Argyle ISD participated in Red Ribbon Week last week, which is a national drug awareness initiative. The week ended with the Drug Enforcement Administration agents visiting Argyle Intermediate School students at Unity Park. The helicopter landed in the park and the DEA agents spoke with students and answered questions. It capped a great week of engagement for students in learning more about the dangers of drugs.

AHS Journalism Students Touring UNT

Argyle High School journalism students enjoyed a field trip Thursday to the University of North Texas. The students in Ms. Short's classes at AHS toured and visited classes at UNT's Mayborn School of Journalism. The school features broadcast studios and a broadcast news lab. AHS students had the opportunity to interact with students while on campus.

Get Your Tickets to AMS Theatre's Matilda Jr.

The Argyle Middle School Theatre presents the musical Matilda Jr. on Nov. 11, 12 & 13. The musical will be held in the AMS auditorium and adult tickets are $10 and students are $5. Tickets are currently available online and will also be sold at the door.

BGPC: Analyzing District Growth, Finances & Facilities

The Argyle ISD community-driven Bond & Growth Planning Committee began meeting in October. The 26-member committee is comprised of parents, staff and community members that are evaluating district facilities, enrollment figures and finances in building a bond package to present to the Board of Trustees. The meeting presentations, along with a list of the committee members, are available on the Argyle ISD website.


The next meeting for the committee will include a tour of the district facilities.

AIS Math Classroom Transformed Into Bakery

It's ready! Ms. Porter's 5th-grade classroom at Argyle Intermediate was transformed into the Eagle bakery this week. This math class used a bakery to apply fraction operations to real life word problems. This provided a fun and creative way of learning the math curriculum for Ms. Porter's students.

If you would like an opportunity to volunteer in Argyle ISD, here's a chance. Argyle Middle School is seeking professionals to speak at career day. This event is dedicated to parents and members of our community sharing more about their professions. If you are interested, click this link to sign up to speak. COVID-19 Cases - Reporting & Dashboard

Argyle ISD is providing a COVID-19 dashboard to keep parents, staff, students and the community aware of the positive case totals at the campuses. The dashboard is updated by 6 p.m. each school day. The numbers are based on only cases confirmed through documentation with campus nurses.

PLAYOFF GAMEDAY: Lady Eagles Face Brownwood

The Argyle Lady Eagle volleyball team (28-12) faces Brownwood in the Class 4A area playoffs tonight. The match begins at 6:30 p.m. at Brock High School.


On Monday, the Lady Eagles swept Fort Worth Dunbar in the first round of the playoffs. Click here to purchase tickets.

Cross Country Bound For State Saturday!

The Argyle Eagles and Lady Eagles cross country teams are headed to Round Rock! Both teams will compete in the Class 4A state championships on Saturday at Old Settler's Park.

The Lady Eagles qualified by finishing third as a team at the Region I meet and the Eagles finished fourth. The Lady Eagles' race will start at 10 a.m. and the Eagles will start at 10:30 a.m. Click here to follow the teams on Twitter. The team will have a sendoff at AHS at 9:15 a.m. on Friday.

Eagles Close Regular Season On Senior Night

The Argyle Eagles (8-1, 4-1) will close the regular season on Friday at Eagle Stadium on Senior Night. The Eagles face Paris at 7:30 p.m. Argyle is coming off a 48-21 road victory at Kaufman last week.


Senior Night recognitions will begin at 6:55 p.m. on the field. All seniors participating on Friday nights will be honored.

Argyle, the defending Class 4A Division I champions, will begin the playoffs next week.

Eagle Tennis Earns State Finalist Finish!

The Argyle Eagle tennis team finished the season as Class 4A state finalists. This marked the first time in school history the fall tennis team had reached the state tournament.

The Eagles fell in a hard-fought championship match 10-7 against Wimberley. The state championship was played in College Station at Texas A&M University. Argyle defeated Little River Academy in the state semifinals 10-1.


All-Tournament selections included: Girls Doubles (Meghna Kumar/Rylee Johnson); (Elaina Hildner/Olivia Underwood). Boys Singles (Jackson Hill); Girls Singles (Meghna Kumar, Rylee Johnson, Elaina Hildner, Nikki Zablosky and Olivia Underwood).

AHS Cheer Thanksgiving Mini Camp

The AHS Cheer Thanksgiving Camp will be held Monday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Argyle High School. The cost is $50 and includes a T-shirt. The deadline to register is Nov. 11.


All campers will perform at halftime of the Lady Eagles Basketball game on December 14. Click here to register.
