The Weekly Update
Springfield Twp MS - Season 5, Episode 16 - Jan 14
From the Principal
I'd like to thank everyone for your cooperation with our Covid protocols during this surge. I'd also like to use this opportunity to remind families of how to access teachers and assignments if your child needs to be absent from school for a few days. During periods of isolation/quarantine, if students are feeling up to it, they should work to keep up with their assignments. Teachers will post assignments on Google Classroom for access by all. If students are struggling to keep up or need help with their work, they should contact their teachers by email for assistance. Thank you, and have a wonderful three-day weekend.

MLK Day of Service
As you know, Martin Luther King Jr Day is observed this year on January 17, 2022. We recognize that some members of our school community would like to engage in service learning with their child, families and neighbors. If individuals are interested in providing Day of Service activities, you can use this site for the Greater Philadelphia MLK Day of Service, once you access that site and enter your zip code and be referred to varied local options for service opportunities. This presents options not only for January 17th, but also options for community engagement and service throughout the year.

STSHSP
Due to a conflict with rescheduled district events, the Jan. Secondary HSP General meeting has been rescheduled for Wed, Feb 16, at 7pm via Zoom - registration link to follow. We are looking forward to a special presentation: Be SMART Gun Safety, a program that focuses on gun safety in the home, recognizing the role of guns in suicide, and responsible behavior around guns in the home. We will also hear district and school news from Superintendent Dr. Yannacone, and Principals Dr. Rittenhouse and Mr. Fuller. Thank you to those of you who have already joined the Springfield Township Secondary HSP. If you have not already done so, it is never too late to become a member.
